Concert-performance “Mul kõige armsam” II

What is happiness? It is certainly one of the oldest questions in the world.

Since Adam, people have sought eternal happiness in which to live and breathe. But where does it hide? Who is it and where does it go? What is this sacred happiness, and where can it be found? It’s about meaning and meanings. From a mother’s grace, a lover’s eyes, a child’s smile. From a good breakfast, beautiful weather, biathlon.

Here, under the meaning of the sky, we create meanings ourselves, we need meaning, and we also wish to mean something to someone because meaning is important. Everything that shines far away, on the other shore, on greener grass, in mysteriously unreachable distances, has a special meaning.

In the concert-performance “Mul kõige armsam”, closeness and distance come together, like reality and dream, which coexist in true happiness as a duality. Together with actors, nearly 300 singers, and students from the Jakobi Mäe Theater Studio, a delicate atmosphere will be created in a world where the most important things in life are longed for and sought after. Works by Veljo Tormis, Tuudur Vettik, Tõnu Kõrvits, Pärt Uusberg, Eriks Ešenvalds, Urmas Sisask, and Hain Hõlpus will be performed.

The concert-performance will take place on two dates: June 20th and June 21st.
