“Laia ilma peal” concerts in the heart of Tartu

Fragments of culture from around the world will bring excitement and liveliness to the heart of Tartu.

Throughout the day, in various locations around Tartu – on the Emajõgi riverside promenade, in Pirogov Park, and near the Kaubamaja shopping center – you will encounter snippets of different cultures presented through song, dance, and music. Small concerts will lead up to the evening concert and dance party “Laia ilma peal” at the Vanemuine Concert Hall.

Performing at the city concerts will be the Baltic Youth String Orchestra, the Estonian-Ukrainian Singing Circle, the Elva Music School accordion ensemble, the Tampere and Pori Vingerpussid, the runo song ensemble Väike Hellero, and Oskar Nursi.

Performances will take place from 12 pm to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm. A detailed schedule will be announced soon!

The event is free for everyone!

The small concerts are part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 side programme.
